Quickoffice today announced the release of the new versionof its office suite for Symbian phone - Quickoffice 3.1. The new version now supports all S60 3rd Edition devices such as the E61, N73, N80 and N91. The viewer component of the program is provided for free. The major new feature is the addition of the Quickmanager component which allows the download and purchase, in application, of program updates and new mobile applications.

Through Quickmanager it is possible to purchase editing functionality for each part of the suite (Quickword, Quicksheet and Quickpoint) either as a full license or for 30 days.

Currently only a few template files are available through the add-on component of Quickoffice, but it is anticipated that further applications will be made available in due course. Quickexpense - a expense management and reporting program will be offered through Quickmanager shortly.

Is this Nokia’s geometry-happy 7900?

For a manufacturer that’s arguably the most design conservative of the Big Five (or not), this here 7900 seems to be totally outside Nokia’s comfort zone — but who knows? We live in an era where Nokia’s warmed up to American 3G, so we can say with confidence that crazier things have happened. Features are said to include WCDMA and quadband GSM, QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel cam, 1GB of internal storage, and an 11mm thick case that really brings out our inner mathematician. Until we see something a little more real on this one, though, we’ll be filing it in the “fanboy rendering” cabinet

LG’s Chocolate L704i snapped in the wild

In case LG’s L704i managed to slip under your radar in the midst of all those other NTT DoCoMo handsets, here’s a few pictures of it in its prime. ‘Course, we wouldn’t stare too long if you’re stuck in the US of A, as all the wishing in the world isn’t likely to get this piece of Chocolate to the States. Nevertheless, it does manage to look awfully sexy when grasped, so be sure to click through for some more hands-on excitement.

Samsung’s SGH-G800: another 5 megapixel slider?

For better or worse, it seems 5 megapixel sensors may be on the cusp of supplanting smaller units on high-end featurephones, and naturally, Samsung’s on the forefront of the trend. Hot on the heels of the G600, the rumored G800 slider is said to feature a tri-band GSM radio with HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD expansion, a lovely 2.4 inch QVGA OLED display, xenon flash, and a sliding lens cover (a la K800) to protect that mighty cam. We’ve no idea when or where this thing might launch, but without that critical fourth band, the US seems like a long shot.

It may lack the necessary internal gizmos to grant us 3G data this side of the pond, but that really didn’t stop us from touching, holding, and loving Nokia’s E90 Communicator just the same. Check out as we bring the latest, greatest QWERTY device out of Espoo from sealed box to power-up in the gallery here — or if getting your hands on one of your own is more your thing, rumor has it Nokia should be launching it stateside within a couple months. ‘Bout time!

Nokia N81 in the wild, sort of

Going all the way back to the N95, it seems like Nokia started having a really hard time keeping a lid on hot upcoming product releases — not to say we’re complaining or anything — and the upcoming N81 slider with a penchant for music is no exception. Following some serious scoopage a few months back, we’re now seeing this shot of a believable-looking N81 dummy, which we’re guessing is in the process of getting shipped out to retailers preparing to sell the real thing. With a rumored 8GB of onboard storage, HSDPA, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, we imagine said retailers should be doing a pretty brisk business, too.

Hands-on with the Sony Ericsson P1i

Believe it or not, Sony Ericsson’s P1i has one of the richest, most storied family trees in the smartphone world. Technically, it could be said that the phone can trace its roots all the way back to Psion’s EPOC-based organizers, but more practically, the P1i is a direct descendent of the R380, the first Symbian-powered phone and a device that made more than a few jaws drop with its versatile design and expansive touchscreen. What’s our point? Simply that this brushed metal-clad beast has some work to do to live up to its ancestry, lest a few P800s start rolling in their graves — and with WiFi, a 3.2 megapixel cam, and UIQ 3, it seems equipped for the job.

The AT&T Tilt, October 5 for $299.99

Bringing all of the HTC Kaiser’s joy to AT&T, the Tilt has finally been set for an October 5 launch. Besides the obvious feature of a tilting display — hence the name — the spec sheet reveals a 3 megapixel autofocus camera, HSDPA, stereo Bluetooth, Windows Mobile 6 Professional (the first AT&T device to officially rock it — can ya believe it?), microSDHC slot for cards up to 32GB, WiFi, an integrated GPS receiver, and BlackBerry Connect support. Last time we checked, that pretty much covers the “superphone” checklist. Grab it starting Friday for $299.99 on contract after the full suite of rebates has been applied.

Motorola’s bizarre MOTOROKR E8?

So magical keypads are going to be all the rage in the next couple years. Taking a cue from Optimus Maximus, perhaps? Following the Firefly flyPhone we saw a few weeks ago comes word from China of this rather bizarre Motorola prototype, apparently dubbed the MOTOROKR E8. Besides an illuminated, dynamic keypad that can change modes to provide dedicated music controls, the candybar is supposed to feature 2GB of onboard storage, the typical microSD expansion and miniUSB jack, and a 3.5mm headphone connector. The UI is brought to you by Motorola’s Linux-based JUIX (MOTOMAGX?) platform powering a QVGA display. We’re skeptical about the goodness of that keypad until we get our hands on it, but we guess it could be cool.

Nokia launches business-minded E51 handset

While Nokia didn’t exactly choose the quietest day to launch its latest handset, the E51 is getting official, regardless. This candybar-styled device was designed with the suits in mind, as Nokia even touts its ability to “integrate tightly with corporate telephony systems (PBX) through Nokia Mobile Unified Communications solutions.” Specs wise, you’ll find a two-inch 320 x 240 resolution screen, two-megapixel camera, video streaming / playback with support for H.264 and Real codecs, video calling capability, integrated 802.11g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, FM tuner, miniUSB, IrDA, GPRS / EGPRS and HSDPA compatibility, up to 130MB of memory, a microSD expansion slot, quad-band GSM and WCDMA 850/2100 support, and up to 4.4-hours of talk time (or 13 days in standby). The E51 is slated to ship globally in Q4 for €350 ($485) sans a contract.

Take a moment to welcome the new Nokia 6555. This 3G (WCDMA of unspecified band) clamshell goes quadband GSM with microSD expansion (30MB on-boad) and 240 x 320 QVGA display touting 16 million colors. If thin is your thing and 3G Nokia your game then this is about as good as it gets. Available next month for about €200 pre-tax and pre-subsidy. Unfortunately, Nokia doesn’t say where, but its forward-facing profile certainly matches up nicely with Nokia’s FCC approved RM-276 handset operating in the 850 and 1900MHz bands

Ooh, how do you like them apples, LG? Just days after word of its SH150 for Korea’s 7.2Mbps HSDPA trials spread across the lands, Samsung fires this little gem in return. The so-called “UFO” (don’t ask us) SCH-W300 features a 2 megapixel camera (plus the obligatory front-facing piece for video calls), QVGA display, Bluetooth, and microSD expansion in a 12.9mm thich shell — not particularly impressive by 2007 standards, until you hear about that magical 7.2Mbps downstream radio packed somewhere in there. Look for it alongside its crosstown rival’s SH150 for just a little more dinero, 600,000 won (about $632).

iPhone’s latest update improving WiFi and camera?

Despite the fact that we had a bit of trouble with the latest iPhone update, some users are reporting drastically improved WiFi reception and camera performance since installing v1.0.2. Although Apple didn’t exactly go into detail about what “bug fixes” were being addressed, a number of posters on various forums are apparently thrilled with the boost in WiFi reception and the “vast improvement in the camera’s live video update.” Of course, it’s very possible that these betterments are simply due to differing circumstances in use before and after the update, so we’ll leave it up you: have you noticed any drastic meliorations since the update, or is this stuff just all in our head?

Australia gets HTC P3600i, complete with Windows Mobile 6

Looks like those that call Down Under home have been blessed with yet another option in the smartphone department, as HTC has apparently launched the P3600i in your neck of the woods. Deemed an “HTC P3600 with a faster CPU and more ROM,” this Windows Mobile 6 device looks to be an Asia-Pacific exclusive for now, and touts quad-band GSM, 802.11g, a two-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, 160MB of internal memory, a miniSD expansion slot, and UMTS / HSDPA to boot. Best of all, it’s available right now on 3.

Is this the Motorola MOTOROKR E7?

Kinda looks like a Photoshopped E6 to us, but Chinese site ZOL is touting this bad boy as the MOTOROKR E7 with a very impressive set of specs. Like, unrealistically impressive — especially for a phone that looks virtually indistinguishable from the far less impressive E6: VGA touchscreen, 5 megapixel cam with xenon flash, integrated GPS and WiFi, 2GB of integrated storage, HSDPA, you get the idea. If legit, the device will apparently be powered by Linux — Moto’s MOTOMAGX platform, we imagine — the very same one that we’ve heard can’t presently handle HSDPA speeds. So needless to say, we’re skeptical here; hopeful that Moto really does have something this hot up its sleeves, yes, but until we get more confirmation, skeptical.

Samsung’s Armani phone has a surprise: a haptic feedback UI

All hail, all hail, official pics of the Samsung / Armani mashup: the Armani phone. Here’s the haute couturey poop: tri-band 900/1800/1900 GSM, 3 megapixel camera, 2.6-inch 262K color QVGA touchscreen LCD, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, microSD expansion, full Internet browser, and support for H.263, AAC/MP3/WMA audio and MPEG-4 video. Fine and dandy but this little guy also features a haptic feedback user interface like Samsung’s SCH-W559 handset loosed long ago in China — “users can feel an immediate mild vibration when they touch icons on the display.” How you like them Apples, Apple? The Prada-esque slab currently measures in at 87.5 x 54.5 x 10.5-mm and 85-grams; less after it starts making regular, post-meal trips to the toilet following its November European release.

Samsung SCH-u740 hands-on

Samsung’s latest dual-hinged handset, the SCH-u740, hit Verizon this week and we’ve got a gallery full of hands-on pics for your perusal. The specs on this thing won’t blow you away, but for $200 (with two year contract) you get a messaging-centric EV-DO phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot (the u740 supports playback of MP3 and WMA audio files), and Bluetooth (including DUN support). First impressions: the u740 is decently thing, but we’re not really digging the champagne finish on this thing, it actually makes the u740 look cheaper than it should. Screen resolution is a disappointing 176 x 220 pixels, but we’re pretty pleased with how solid the dual-hinge is, at least so far, and switching between modes is totally seamless. The QWERTY keyboard is nothing special, the keys are a little slippery and aren’t very easy to type on. They have made a few (mostly cosmetic) improvements to the UI, but the u740 is most definitely NOT a smartphone, and so even though Verizon does offer wireless sync email this probably shouldn’t be the first choice for anyone who is really serious about doing email on their phone.

Verizon to get LG VX9400 on March 23?

Liking VCAST TV but that Samsung u620 — the only supported handset at the moment — isn’t doing anything for you with its submicronic display? We can’t blame you, especially after we laid eyes on that rather comely VX9400 from crosstown rival LG at CES a couple months back. A tipster is reporting that the pivot display VX9400, which was originally thought to be scheduled to launch alongside the u620, will end up dropping on the 23rd of this month in VCAST TV markets. Not too painful of a delay, eh? Pricing should come in at $350 full retail, $250 on a one-year contract after rebate, or $200 if you like that mobile TV action enough to sign up for two full years. Launching the same day should be the Samsung u540 at $80 after rebates on a two-year agreement (we’ll take the VX9400, please).

We feel like we can barely tell the difference between the white KRZR from Moto and the original gray — especially if you squint your eyes a bit — but choice is always good nonetheless, and to that end Telus has added the paler variant to its lineup. Going toe to toe with the K1m in the high-fashion game, Samsung’s u510 has also found its way onto the CDMA carrier (look familiar?) with a 220 x 176 display, 1.3 megapixel cam, microSD slot — something its Helio doppelganger lacks — and touch-sensitive controls. Grab your white KRZR for the same price as its grayer counterpart, $149 CDN — or a u510 for $50 CDN less, $100, both on a three-year agreement.

Samsung’s SPH-M8100: another hi-spec MITs WiBro handheld

This isn’t the first time we have seen Samsung’s SPH-M8100. Remember, this is that crazy WiBro (mobile WiMax) phone sporting a dedicated RSS key (upper-right button on that Korean keypad). Only now, it’s been slightly retooled for its official Korean launch. Besides the facelift, it appears unchanged spec-wise as a member of Sammy’s elite MITs (Mobile Intelligent Terminal) family of devices. So it still packs the latest CDMA and EV-DO radios and DMB mobile television only now wrapped up in a pretty Windows Mobile 6.0 interface. Bluetooth, 2.8-inch display, and 2 megapixel camera still come standard. With any luck, we might see this rollout on Sprint’s WiMAX network someday,

As mentioned a few days ago, Verizon Wireless seems to be prepping for the release of a new dual mode version of the venerable Blackberry 8800, christened the 8830. With this handy bit of tech you will be able to use CDMA radio while in the States (and maybe Canada?) and switch over to that good old fashioned GSM love while abroad. The pic above clearly shows the 8830 in silver, while the images in our last article seem to show it in black. No other solid info is available, but you can be sure we will be updating as the news and details trickle in

AT&T and Verizon kick kid phones to the curb

In an announcement sure to make tweens scream and parents sigh, both AT&T and Verizon Wireless have seemingly simultaneously decided to stop featuring their respective kid-centric handsets. Folks interested in Verizon’s Migo will now be shown LG’s 3450L flip-phone instead, as the company claims that its texting abilities and Chaperone capability will lend itself to being an effective youth-oriented option. As for AT&T, its Firefly mobile will now be sold solely online, but there was no mention of what the carrier planned on offering when paranoid parents showed up looking for a highly controllable device in-store. Of course, both of these phones should remain available in other mass market channels for those still interested, but we’re sure your nine-year old kid will be lobbying for something a bit more sophisticated in a few months anyway.

Get ready for a life more ordinary: Nokia just loosed three mid-range phones for all your middle management dreams. The 6267 (€240/$322) clamshell features dedicated music keys, a 2 megapixel camera with flash, 3G data, and up to 4GB of storage expansion you’ll have to locate yourself. The 6121 classic (€260/$349) on the left goes quadband GSM and WCDMA 2100 and “900″ (we presume is a Nokia typo meaning 1900) with HSDPA data and packs in a couple of cameras topping out at 2 megapixels. Bringing up the tail is the budget 3500 classic (€135/$181) candybar which ships with an FM radio, 2 megapixel camera, and about 3 hours of talk time or 12 days of standby. All are expected to ship by Q3 in quiet fulfillment of your prosaic ambitions.

Motorola W385, new LG Chocolates live on Verizon

Thinking back to when we first caught wind of it, the turnaround on the ambiguously named VX8550 Chocolate from LG wasn’t that bad — but the same can’t be said of Verizon’s other retail introduction today, the midrange Motorola W385. This thing’s been kicking around as a rumored Big Red device since April at the latest — and yes, we’ll admit that our sense of time is a bit skewed, but that’s, like, forever. Anyhoo, pick up the VGA-cam’d, 160 x 128 screen’d W385 for $70 after all the contracts and discounts have been applied; meanwhile, the VX8500 successor can be yours for a nice, round hundie.

The wait is over patient Telus P4000 users, the Windows Mobile 6 update is here. After seeing the recent flow of HTC updates, it is grand to see a provider on top of its game and delivering the goods in a timely manner. The update process is well documented and even includes the steps and numbers needed to reprogram your phone’s settings via Over-The-Air Service Provisioning (OTASP) once the update is in. Of course, if you’ve never flashed your handset before, know that all contents of your handset are wiped during the process, so back up any important stuff before you get started. LG’s KU990 touchscreen “Viewty” is a 5 megapixel, HSDPA beauty

Its out. LG’s newest heartthrob — the KU990 — is official and on the way to the UK (likely with Vodafone) this fall. The German IFA show at the end of the month will mark its coming out party seeing the KU990 dressed up in a 5.1 megapixel shooter with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, image stabilization (likely digital), auto focus, 120fps video, and ISO 800 sensitivity. Sure, the camera is nice and all, but this pup is packing a 3-inch, 240 x 400 touchscreen riding on 3G HSDPA data. Hoozah! With a European launch imminent (Sorry, no Stateside details), the wait for the iPhone is suddenly less of a burden, eh?

first step :
Set GPS Bluetooth:
In the Settings Menu you can choose "Set GPS", you will find the GPS automatically. If you use Bluetooth GPS, it might be necessary to activate Bluetooth before clicking "Set GPS".

2 step:
Start capture LOG:
After having selected the GPS, click "Start" and your paths are used to log tracks.. On the top of the screen you can see the number of records and the number of satellites fixed. Select "Stop" for stoping the logged.

3 step:
Export to Google Earth:
The Export menu allows choosing the destination (via bluetooth or via file) and generate the KML file.

4 step:
View your Track in Google Earth:
You have to transfer the file to your PC. By double clicking the KML file, Google Earth opens and displays the track.
